ME! & my ART!

Growing up I loved going to art class but was absolutely terrible at it. My sister was always good at it and my family would joke that I would find my talent in something else, but that it definitely wouldn't be art. In my first drawing class in high school, my teacher had an apple in the middle of the room and had everyone draw it and I asked her if I should drop the class because I couldn't do it. She told me to not drop the class and that everyone can do it, and I've made art ever since. Throughout high school I just made silly projects based on whatever the prompt was which was normally basic, but for my AP art portfolio I changed to do something slightly vulnerable which felt odd but really good. When I came to college I had no intent on making art and started as a business student but I quickly realized I absolutely hated it and if I was only one year in and hated it, it was definitely not a profession I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. Since switching to art I have taken all digital media classes and painting classes. I love the balance of the two because painting and drawing is what I enjoy most but the digital media side of things is ever changing with the technology that changes too. I have not found my specific niche yet, but I'm excited to find out and see what I can create along the way.
